Comments on the Video directed to Dr. Redmond Burke.

  • Did they stop the heart?

  • Yes, they put it on a heart and lung machine to still circulate blood and control breathing. But the heart still beats a little do to elecctric signals ffrom the brain.

  • Ha, no, not all doctors use slang.

  • Dr Redmond Burke, thank you for posting this! What an amazing video to watch. I am a NICU nurse, and have worked in many different units (one being at christiana care, which is a sister unit to AI Dupont), and have seen many babies with congenital heart defects. It is amazing to see just how they are fixed! I love what I do, and it was incredible to get a peek at what happens once these babies get to the cardiac ICU!!! Do you also do the TAPVR repairs? Thanks again for posting, and God bles
