Editor’s Note:

I was thinking today about international perfusion awareness and how new media (blogs, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, StumbleUpon) has played a role in terms of the entire global perfusion community getting a better sense of who we are as a collective.

Realizing that I had over 1,000 posts on ‘Surfers, I did a review of how many people from other cultures and professional disciplines / orientations have actually contributed here @ Circuit Surfers.

So I took a look starting back from the very first post and started to assemble a small sample (1st year) of significant contributions from so many of you. In many cases multiple submissions (Steve Sutton, Nadia Azuero, Brian Forsberg, Whitt Behr, Bijender Singh Bali, Martin Gill, Joshua Morris- to name a few) were submitted- for all of which I am grateful.

To be brief, there are too many multicultural/multidisciplinary submissions to be listed in this post, so I stopped after the first year- 2011.  These 20 represent total diversity in terms of culture, specialty, professional development, career status, organization, and mission.

Thank you to all of you, for how much you have supported this effort, and the differences you have made to so many people and lives.

Sincerely,

Frank
